SADC Secretariat Hosts Workshop to Boost Trade in Services

The SADC Secretariat will hold a Sensitisation Workshop on Trade in Services in Mauritius on October 17-18, 2023.

The objective of this workshop is to raise awareness among Mauritian stakeholders about the economic prospects emerging from the implementation of the SADC Protocol on Trade in Services since January 2022.

The protocol aims to establish a unified regional market for service trade by removing trade barriers and enhancing regulatory transparency among SADC Member States.

During the workshop, interactive discussions will focus on how Mauritian businesses can leverage the commitments made by SADC Member States in the six priority sectors.

Additionally, the event will explore Mauritius’ export potential in other SADC Member States.
