The Central Water Authority has extended the application of the Dry Season Regulations through Amendment No. 7 of 2023.

These regulations will now be in effect until October 31, 2023. They grant authorization to individuals who have the right to irrigate sugarcane from a watercourse.

However, this watercourse must not supply impounding reservoirs, and the Central Water Authority should not be drawing water from it for domestic use.

Furthermore, this water abstraction should not harm any rights that others may have related to the specific watercourse.
