Forest-Side SSS Clinches 1st Prize in Mauritius Finance School Video Competition

In the inaugural Mauritius Finance National Secondary School Video Competition, Forest-Side SSS (Girls) emerged as the winners, securing a grand prize of Rs 125,000.

The Islamic Cultural College in Vallée-des-Prêtres claimed the 1st runner-up position, receiving a prize of Rs 75,000.

Two teams, one from D.A.V College and another from Sir Abdool Raman Osman State College, both received the 2nd runner-up prize, each taking home Rs 50,000.

The competition, themed “Employment in the Financial Services: Opportunities and Challenges for the Youth,” aimed to ignite interest in the financial sector among Grade 12 students.

The event was commended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun, who stressed the sector’s vital role in Mauritius’ economy.

The competition received a total of 17 videos, with six finalists determined by both public vote and jury evaluation.

Mauritius Finance intends to make this competition an annual event, with winning videos to be showcased on their digital platforms.
