Mauritius Pharmacists Call for Resignation of Pharmacy Board Members

The Pharmaceutical Association of Mauritius demanded the resignation of Pharmacy Board members. This call follows the Ministry of Health’s reversal of directives governing pharmacy operations issued in July.

Following the State Law Office’s request, the Ministry of Health revoked the guidelines pertaining to the Operation of Pharmacy (Retail).

The Pharmaceutical Association of Mauritius, which had sought judicial review, now welcomes and celebrates this decision by the Ministry of Health.

Ashwin Dookhun, President of the association, also urged the Pharmacy Board and the Ministry of Health to consult all relevant parties before making any decisions.
