What to do if you have already bought Vital water?

Following the detection of several bacteria in Vital bottle water by the Mauritius Standards Bureau, the water brand was removed from the shelves at the request of bottler Quality Beverages Ltd.

However, questions have been rife as what would be the next move for consumers who already purchased and have the water in stock at home.

Defi Media asked QBL about it and here was there reply: “QBL is asking consumers who are in possession of Vital spring water bottles to wait for the publication of the test results by the Ministry of Health before consuming the water”.

QBL had asked resellers on Friday June 24 to temporarily suspend the sale of Vital water bottles. The Ministry of Health reportedly took a new series of samples at the company’s production facility, as well as at various outlets in the country, for microbiological analysis by the Central Health Laboratory. QBL also sent samples to an independent laboratory.

The production and marketing of Vital spring water will resume if results confirm that the products are compliant with quality standards.
