Mauritius, China celebrate 50th year of diplomatic ties

Mauritius and China celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

In a congratulatory message, Chinese President Xi Jinping told his Mauritian counterpart, Prithvirajsing Roopun, that China-Mauritius ties have seen healthy and stable development.

“The traditional friendship has withstood the test of time and grown even stronger, and cooperation in all fields has been increasingly deepened.”

President Roopun noted that the implementation of the bilateral free trade agreement has further strengthened the close ties between the two countries.
