The number of deaths linked to COVID-19 continues to soar dangerously. After reporting 18 deaths last week, Health Minister Kailesh Jagutpal announced that 17 more people died this week.

Among the victims, four were under the age of 60 and six were vaccinated. According to figures revealed in parliament earlier this week, 63 people died from COVID-19 from October 1 to October 24, 2021. These included 16 “fully vaccinated” people.

The situation is being described as very dangerous. Ex-Health Director, Dr Vasantrao Gujadhur warned of another wave in the coming days.
