MCB issues unsecured floating rate notes for Rs2 billion

The Listing Executive Committee of The Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd has approved, by way of private placement, the listing of up to 2 million unsecured floating rate notes for an aggregate nominal amount of up to Rs2 billion on 17 June 2021 under the Rs10 billion Multi-Currency Note Programme of MCB Group Ltd.

The notes will be issued on 29 June 2021 and the first day of listing and trading of the notes will be 30 June 2021.

MCB has reportedly undertaken to make available at least 1,000 notes for trading at an indicative price of Rs1,000 each on the first day of trading.

The notes have been assigned a rating of CARE MAU AAA (outlook: negative) by CARE Ratings (Africa) Private Limited.
