A Mauritius-registered company is gearing up to take stock of a new generation of L-410N seaplanes, called the Seawader.

The L-410 NG are said to have a range of 2,570 kilometers and can carry a load of 2,300 kilograms.

The 19-passenger seats prototype was shown at the Dubai Airshow in November 2021. It is a seaplane with small wheels and a retractable landing gear.

“This aircraft is designed in such a way that it can take off and land on runways as well as on the surface of water, and it has space for 17 to 19 passengers,” Czech manufacturer, Aircraft Industries, said.

Operation on the water is possible even in rough conditions. The maximum range is 1,425 kilometres.

The Mauritius-registered leasing company Air-Tec Global, which already owns around 25 copies of the previous L-410, was presented as the first customer.

“It is not clear how many seaplanes Air-Tec Global will buy – it could be around $ 10 million (Rs440 million). The first L-410NG are expected to be delivered by 2025.
