Face masks no longer compulsory in certain public places

The authorities are relaxing some of the regulations related to face masks.

The new regulations now allow people to remove their masks in a list of specific places, namely, at any open outdoor spaces, gymnasiums and sports complexes. The areas must be ventilated to accommodate people.

Health tracks, parks, swimming pools and while practicing beach sports and nautical activities as well as while fishing will be included in the list.

Additionally, wearing a mask in restaurants will no longer be compulsory.

Health Minister Kailesh Jagutpal said amendments will be made to existing the regulations soon.
