Dhiren Ponnusamy is the new boss at Medine

Medine Limited, a diversified group engaged in Agriculture, Education, Leisure and Property, has announced the appointment of Mr Dhiren Ponnusamy as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Company effective the 1st July 2021. 

The announcement was made on the website of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius late this week.

Mr Ponnusamy joined Medine in January 2018 and is currently Chief Operating Officer. Following the departure of the former CEO in March 2020, Mr Ponnusamy is said to have led the company “through a period of significant change in a challenging operating environment.”

Mr Ponnusamy has over 15 years of international experience in global finance and banking, spanning over three continents. He is a former Managing Director at Standard Chartered Bank Plc in London in a career that included a number of senior CFO and regional CFO positions in South Korea, Singapore, Africa, Philippines and the UK. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the London School of Economics & Political Science and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder.
