Rainy Afternoon Ahead: 50% Chance of Showers & 6°C Drop

A low-pressure system associated with the remnants of a frontal system will begin to influence local weather conditions this afternoon, bringing a series of weather changes to the region. Following the frontal system, a strong high-pressure system will move in from the southwest, bringing windy and cold conditions.

According to the latest weather forecast, today will start with mostly sunny skies.

However, as the day progresses, clouds will gradually increase, leading to intermittent rainfall, particularly over the southern half of the island and the central plateau.

Temperature highs are expected to range between 20°C and 22°C over the central plateau and between 25°C and 28°C along the coastal areas.

The forecast also indicated that intermittent rainfall is expected overnight, mainly over the southern half of the island and the central plateau.

Fog patches are also expected in certain areas. Overnight temperatures will be below average, ranging from 14°C to 16°C over the central plateau and from 18°C to 20°C in coastal regions.

Winds will blow from the southeast at around 20 km/h, strengthening gradually throughout the day with gusts reaching up to 60 km/h in some areas.

The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with waves from the south measuring around 2.5 meters.

High-seas warnings are in effect, and boat owners are advised against venturing out into open waters.

Waves will increase further in the afternoon, reaching heights of 3.5 meters.

As a result, boat owners and residents’ are also advised against sailing in lagoons in the southwest, south, and east regions from this afternoon onwards.
