Shortly after New Year celebrations, on the night of January 5, Abel Danilo Joyeux, 27, was rushed to Victoria Hospital after being attacked on Prince Charles Avenue in Camp-Levieux. The death of this NHDC resident was confirmed shortly after his arrival at the hospital.

The young man had been the victim of a sword attack by a group of individuals.
