Hilton Hosts Miss World 2024: 11 Global Beauties Shine

An unprecedented meeting between global beauty and Mauritian excellence took place at the Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa, where some Miss World contestants were welcomed for a press conference on Monday, March 11.

Organized by Primerose Obeegadoo, president of the national organization Miss Mauritius, this exclusive event was marked by the presence of the new Miss World 2024, Krystyna Pyszková, from the Czech Republic.

Accompanied by Julia Morley, CEO of the Miss World organization, and Stephen Morley, events director for Miss World, the delegation also included contestants from several countries, including Mauritius, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Botswana, Lebanon, Trinidad and Tobago, England, Martinique, Tunisia, Uganda, and New Zealand.

Krystyna Pyszková, who made a name for herself on the world stage by winning the title of Miss World 2024 at the ceremony in Mumbai, expressed her joy at being in Mauritius for the first time.

She shared her thoughts with local media, expressing her excitement about exploring the island with her fellow Miss World contestants.

The Czech Miss World also discussed her philanthropic work and her desire to contribute to educational changes in countries like Tanzania.

Originally from the Czech Republic, Krystyna Pyszková stood out in the Miss World competition by addressing crucial topics such as eliminating stigma and shame related to menstruation.

Her victory reflects her dedication to important causes and her desire to make a difference in the world. Primerose Obeegadoo, president of the national organization Miss Mauritius, expressed her pride in welcoming the Miss World delegation to Mauritius and shared her vision for future editions of the competition.

She emphasized the importance of creating an environment conducive to the growth of young girls and expressed her desire to see Mauritius host all Miss World contestants one day.

Arvind Bundhun, director of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), also welcomed this collaboration with Miss World, highlighting Mauritius’ selection as the first destination to host the new Miss World and her delegation.

He expressed confidence that the contestants will be captivated by the island’s natural beauty and warm hospitality. Jacques Brune, general manager of the Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa, emphasized the importance of this collaboration with Miss World, highlighting the hotel’s commitment to sustainable development and social initiatives.

He expressed gratitude for hosting Krystyna Pyszková and the Miss World delegation for a week of exchanges and discoveries in Mauritius. “We are delighted to welcome Krystyna Pyszková and the Miss World delegation for what promises to be an extraordinary week.

Miss World 2024 marks the long-awaited return of the prestigious beauty competition to India after a 28-year absence.

While the 71st edition took place in Mumbai on Saturday, March 9, this iconic event, founded in 1951 by Eric Morley in the UK, remains the oldest and most prestigious international beauty competition.

From its humble beginnings as a swimsuit contest to its transformation into a global phenomenon, Miss World has captured hearts and minds around the world.

With its commitment to beauty, philanthropy, and inclusion, the competition continues to inspire and empower women around the world to pursue their dreams.
