He also recognized the significance of celebrating the Iranian National Day alongside Mauritian Independence Day and Maha Shivratree.

A moment of silence was observed in memory of the tragic incident in Arsenal where young pilgrims lost their lives.

The ambassador drew attention to the plight of Palestinians, particularly the thousands who have lost their lives in Palestine, urging solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

He praised the efforts of the government in strengthening ties between Mauritius and Iran, including the recent agreement to abolish short-term visas.

Alibakhshi expressed hope that Château Val Ory would be transformed into a full-fledged embassy for Iran in the future, pending government approval.

The Iranian exhibition will be open to the public throughout the Iranian Cultural Week, inviting Mauritians to explore the diverse offerings of Iran and take home a piece of Persian culture.
