Mauritian Stands Firmly with Palestine, says PM

Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth of Mauritius has affirmed his government’s unwavering support for Palestine amid the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In a parliamentary address, Jugnauth expressed shock and empathy towards the situation, highlighting the lack of attention given to the plight of Palestinians.

He emphasized Mauritius’ commitment to the rule of law and called for a fair and sustainable resolution to the conflict.

Jugnauth condemned the Israeli attacks on innocent Palestinians and called for an end to the occupation dating back to 1967.

He mentioned that Mauritius has consistently supported the Palestinian people’s right to their own state and has actively participated in United Nations resolutions and initiatives condemning Israel’s actions.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Mauritius’ solidarity with the Palestinian cause and its hopes for a clear and favorable opinion from the International Court of Justice on Israeli violations.
