During a peaceful demonstration organised by Linion Pep Morisien (LPM) and Rassemblement Mauricien (RM) in Port Louis on Saturday, lawyer Rama Valayden made bold claims about the “invasion” of Mauritius by the South African mafia.

He stated that they have received information of international significance, including the “entry and exit of a yacht at will”.

The march aimed to demand the dissolution of the controversial Special Striking Team (SST).

Valayden insisted that their criticism was directed towards a small group of police officers, not the entire force.

The demonstration served as a platform for expressing discontent and raising concerns about the state of affairs in Mauritius.
