Medine Group to invest Rs 2 billion in a multidisciplinary hospital in the West

The Medine Group is positioning itself in healthcare services by investing nearly Rs 2 billion in a “private multidisciplinary hospital in the West of the island with state-of-the-art equipment”.

The hospital, which is a partnership between the Medine Group and SAF Healthcare Holdings Co Ltd, will offer primary health care, as well as new specialties that are not currently available in Mauritius.

The 13,500 sqm private hospital will be built on nearly five acres in Cascavelle, just minutes from the West’s main residential areas.

Once completed, the medical facility will have a capacity of 110 beds.

Construction is expected to start in the second half of 2023 and be completed by the end of 2025.
