Italian Olympic champion back home after intensive training in Mauritius

Italian Olympic champion Gianmarco Tamberi has flown back home after some serious training in Mauritius.

Gianmarco Tamberi, Olympic champion in High Jump, was on the island to prepare for the next season, which includes World and European Championships.

“25 days of training and a strict diet! I finally managed to get back to pushing the track as I like it,” Tamberi was cited as telling Italian media ANSA.

After the Mauritian trip, Tamberi declared to now have “a completely different physical condition”.
