CEO of CIEL Group is the new boss at Business Mauritius

Jean-Pierre Dalais, CEO of CIEL Group has succeeded Vidia Moonegan as the new President of Business Mauritius during the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 20, at the Hennessy Park Hotel in Ebene, Le Mauricien newspaper reported.

The new president intends to focus on sustainability and ecology, adding that the biggest challenge has been the restart of the tourism sector.

He was quoted as telling Defi Media that a“close collaboration with the government is essential for the country to move forward economically and in an inclusive manner.”

Business Mauritius CEO Kevin Ramkaloan was quoted as saying that the private sector entity had numerous discussions with the government.

“We have opted to remove the issue of General Social Contribution (CSG) from the discussions and wait for the Court to take a decision,” he said.

The new board is made up of Jean- Pierre Dalais, Anil Currimjee, Arnaud Lagesse, Madhavi Ramdin-Clark, Philippe Espitalier-Noël and Jean Li Yuen Fong.
