“With the easing of travel restrictions, tourists from all over Germany and Europe can once again enjoy the friendly hospitality and beautiful beaches that Mauritius has to offer,” said Dr André Schulz, General Manager Lufthansa Group, Southern and East Africa.
“The Lufthansa Group proudly supports the restart of tourism to Mauritius and with our brand-new direct Eurowings Discover flights from Frankfurt, our passengers can once again look forward to exploring the island and all it has to offer,” he said.
Mauritius reopened its borders on October 1, 2021, with a vaccination rate standing at over 60% of the overall population and 82% of the local adult population.
