Green businesses in demand, to get low-interest loans

The French Agency for Development (FAD) in collaboration with Business Mauritius is encouraging existing businesses and entrepreneurs as well as individuals to come up with “green business ideas” in a bid to reduce carbon emissions.

The FAD said it wants to promote businesses with higher energy efficiency and to boost the use of renewable energy and eco-friendly vehicles.

The FAD will offer low-interest loans through local commercial banks to such projects.
