Boolell predicts major ‘political development’

Major political developments should be expected in the days to come, with the possibility of one minister being the PM’s “next victim,” l’Express reported.

Opposition MP Dr Arvin Boolell (Labour) told a press confinement on Friday that he has “information that Finance Minister Renganaden Padayachy could be the next victim of Pravind Jugnauth. The 2021/2022 hasn’t gone down well among the people, and the devaluation of the Rupee has triggered more criticisms than expected.” 

Reiterating an earlier claim that the population is becoming poorer, Dr Boolell warned of additional price hikes on all commodities.
