Extension of hours of operation for incineration and cemeteries

New arrangements are being put in place for incineration and burial of persons deceased with COVID-19. The hours of operation of incinerators and cemeteries are being revised as follows: 

• Incinerator facilities would be operational from 8am hours instead of 9am hours so as to cater for a maximum of four incinerations per day up to midnight; and
• Late night burial would be allowed up to midnight instead of 10pm.

Officers of the Civil Status Office and Health Offices will be on call as from 6am in the morning for issue of relevant permits for incineration and beyond 10pm for issue of permits for late night burial up to midnight.
