6th Indian Chief Guest: President Murmu attends Mauritius National Day
Indian President Droupadi Murmu is all set to attend the Mauritius National Day celebrations as the chief guest on March 12 during her upcoming three-day visit to the island.
President Murmu will engage in meetings with Mauritian President Prithvirajsing Roopun and Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.
She will inaugurate 14 India-assisted projects and witness the signing of key bilateral agreements during her visit.
This visit is a significant milestone in the longstanding relationship between India and Mauritius, with President Murmu being the sixth Indian President to attend the Mauritian National Day as Chief Guest since 2000.
This year’s celebrations will also include visits to historical and cultural sites such as the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, Aapravasi Ghat, and the Intercontinental Slavery Museum.
