Technical committee outlines actions to implement Free Trade Agreements

A Technical Coordination Committee, comprising representatives from both the public and private sectors, has reportedly completed a draft concept paper on the monitoring and implementation of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) signed by Mauritius.

The draft concept paper outlines specific measures and actions to be implemented by various institutions to unlock the opportunities under the various FTAs.

The draft concept paper will take into consideration improved connectivity with key exports markets; focussed marketing strategy to boost exports and attract investment; re-structuring of the manufacturing sector; and promoting Mauritius as a manufacturing destination of high end products.
