Personalised vehicle number plates available as from October 1

A set of new guidelines of the Road Traffic Regulations 2021 allowing the National Land Transport Authority (NLTA) to issue wide-ranging personalised registration plates to owners of motor vehicles will come into effect as from October 1.

The costs for a personalized registration plate will range between a minimum of Rs 20,000 to a maximum of Rs 100,000.

Vehicles owners will have the possibility to choose among different combos within the range of any eight alphabets followed by numbers from 1 to 9, any seven alphabets and followed by numbers from 1 to 99, any six alphabets followed by numbers from 1 to 999 and any four alphabets followed by numbers from 1 to 9999.
