MCB Group extends maternity leave by four additional weeks

MCB Group has announced it was extending the maternity leave period from 14 to 18 weeks for its employees, as part of its commitment to make gender equality a priority of its sustainable development programme, Success Beyond Numbers.

In addition, two more weeks of leave, or 20 weeks, will be granted to employees giving birth to several babies or from their third child.

The bank has also extended breastfeeding period by three months, to a total of nine months after the birth of the child, instead of six months, as provided by law.

On July 2, 2021, it doubled paternity leave, by increasing it from five to ten days.
