The Republic of Korea appoints new Ambassador to Mauritius

The newly appointed Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Korea to Mauritius, Mr Son Yong-ho, has just presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Prithvirajsing Roopun, at the State House, in Réduit.

In a statement following the meeting, Mr Son Yong-ho said that in his tenure as the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Korea to Mauritius, he will work to reinforce the bilateral relations between the two countries.

He also added that he will tap into the opportunities that Mauritius offers as a springboard to the African continent, which he stressed is a key partner for the Republic of Korea.

Mr Son Yong-ho has served as Minister-Counsellor in the United States of America in 2018, and as Counsellor in the French Republic in 2014.
