Man, 35, Arrested 4 Days After Stealing Tyres from Hospital Nurse’s Car
Police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the theft of four wheels from a vehicle parked at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital.

Detectives from the Southern Division’s Divisional Crime Intelligence Unit (DCIU) apprehended the suspect, identified as Ravi Cooshna, on Monday, 11 May.
During police interrogation, the resident of Camp Bombay, Forest-Side, Curepipe, reportedly confessed to the crime.
The theft occurred on 7 May, when all four tyres were stripped from a Honda Fit belonging to a male nurse.
The incident, which took place within the hospital’s own parking facilities, sparked significant public outcry and shock.
Following the arrest, investigators successfully recovered the four stolen tyres at Mr Cooshna’s residence.
The DCIU Southern has confirmed that the police investigation remains ongoing as they conclude their enquiries into the matter.
