FCC Arrests Vacoas Man for Swindling 30 Vulnerable Women
A 64-YEAR-OLD MAN has been arrested in Vacoas by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) following allegations that he defrauded approximately 30 women.
The suspect was taken into custody on Tuesday, 2 June, morning as part of an ongoing investigation into a suspected swindling operation.
According to initial findings by investigators, the sexagenarian predominantly targeted vulnerable individuals, specifically tracking down widows and women whose partners were seriously ill.
Detectives believe the suspect deployed various deceptive stratagems to successfully extract money from his targets.
The FCC confirmed that its investigation remains active. Officers are currently working to establish the exact financial scale of the losses suffered by the alleged victims, alongside investigating the wider circumstances surrounding the case.
