Health Ministry Issues 2 Travel Advisories for Congo & Uganda Travellers
The Ministry of Health is to issue formal travel warnings for passengers heading to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda following the emergence of new Ebola virus variants.
The upcoming “Travel Advisory” measures are part of a heightened, reinforced surveillance strategy designed to monitor and combat the spread of the virus.
Dr Fazil Khodabocus, the acting Director of Health Services, stated that the primary objective of the forthcoming notices is to raise vital awareness among travellers regarding the specific health risks associated with their journeys to the region.
In light of the new viral strains, health authorities have issued an urgent appeal to all affected travellers, calling on them to exercise extreme vigilance during their movements.
