Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 72,000 as Israeli Offensive Continues
The death toll from Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has reached 72,740, according to the latest figures released by the local Ministry of Health.
In a statement issued today, health officials confirmed that at least three people were killed and 16 others injured within the last 24 hours as the offensive shows no signs of abating.
The updated statistics reveal the staggering scale of the conflict since October 2023.
In addition to the tens of thousands of fatalities, the Ministry reported that a total of 172,192 individuals have been wounded since the start of the hostilities.
Data provided by the Ministry also highlighted the continued loss of life following the implementation of a “ceasefire” on 11 October 2025.
Since that date, Israeli attacks are reported to have caused at least 854 deaths and left 2,453 people injured.
The Ministry of Health continues to monitor the casualties as the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territory remains critical.
