Promising young African innovators are being offered the chance to secure an all-expenses-paid study trip to China as part of a newly launched artificial intelligence competition.

The contest, titled “AI Creates the Future, China and Africa Embark Together on a New Stage,” is designed to foster technological collaboration and reward the most impressive applications of AI developed by the continent’s youth.

The top performers will be invited to China to participate in high-level exchange activities and an immersive study visit.

Organised by the secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the initiative is a flagship project of the current “Sino-African Year of Human and Cultural Exchanges.”

It also coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Africa.
