Arnaud Lagesse, the Group CEO of IBL, has been officially appointed the new President of Business Mauritius, the leading employers’ federation in the country. The appointment was formalised at the organisation’s 64th Annual General Meeting held yesterday, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Le Labourdonnais hotel in Port-Louis.

First Female Vice-President Named

The leadership change is particularly notable as Madhavi Ramdin-Clark, Head of ACCA Mauritius, was simultaneously named Vice-President of Business Mauritius.

She makes history as the first woman to hold this key post within the organisation.

Succession and Organisational Role

Mr Lagesse takes over the presidency from Anil Currimjee, who had held the position since 2023.

This leadership handover signals a new chapter for the body, which plays a pivotal role in the country’s economic and social dialogue and is responsible for representing the interests of the Mauritian private sector.
