Mauritian Beauty Among Top 12 Finalists at Miss World Pageant

In a glittering ceremony at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India, the month-long Miss World pageant came to a close on Saturday, March 9, with the crowning of Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic as Miss World 2024.

The stunning beauty queen took over the title from outgoing Miss World, Karolina Bielawska of Poland.

Among the 111 women who made up the court of Miss World 2024 was Liza Tracy Gundowry, representing Mauritius.

The 26-year-old beauty queen, who is fluent in Mauritian Creole, English, French, and Spanish, captured hearts with her grace and poise during the competition.

Standing tall at 5’8″, Gundowry is a true representation of Mauritian beauty on the global stage.

Gundowry’s journey to the Miss World stage began years ago, as she excelled academically at Hazelwick School in Crawley, West Sussex, England.

She continued her education at University College London and the University of Oxford, where she earned degrees in modern languages and African studies, respectively.

In addition to her academic achievements, Gundowry gained valuable work experience in various fields, including law, sales, journalism, and international relations.

Her diverse background and dedication to her studies and career have helped shape her into the confident and accomplished woman she is today.

Notably, Tracy was among the 12 finalists who vied for the prestigious title, showcasing her talent, beauty, and intelligence on the global stage.

As Miss World 2024 and one of the 111 women in her court, Krystyna Pyszková and Liza Tracy Gundowry stand as shining examples of beauty, intelligence, and grace.
