Interactive session to boost Export Oriented Enterprises sector

An interactive session took place between the Minister of Industrial Development, SMEs and Cooperatives, Mr. Soomilduth Bholah, and representatives from Export Oriented Enterprises (EOE) at the Mauritius Standards Bureau in Moka.

The meeting aimed to identify operational challenges and discuss policy measures to boost exports. The session featured presentations on projects like transitioning to a Net-zero Nature-Positive Economy and an Energy Audit Scheme.

Minister Bholah highlighted the EOE sector’s significant growth, with total earnings reaching Rs 49.9 billion in 2022. He emphasized the need for digitalization to address manpower and financial challenges and highlighted opportunities through various international agreements.
