Ministry of Education Invites Applications for 5 Scholarships Before May 27 Deadline
The Ministry of Education has officially launched a scholarship scheme providing financial backing for five students living with disabilities to pursue higher education.
The initiative offers a substantial financial package designed to remove barriers to entry for tertiary studies.
Each successful scholar will receive coverage for their tuition fees alongside a monthly allowance of Rs 7,500. Total funding for each student is capped at Rs 400,000 per annum.
Eligibility and Deadlines
To qualify for the award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be under 30 years of age.
- Must be currently enrolled in their first year at a recognised university, higher education institution, or technical training centre.
- Must not be recipients of any other financial educational support.
Prospective candidates have until 27 May to submit their applications.
How to Apply
Application forms have been made available through two primary channels. Candidates can collect physical copies directly from the Ministry of Education in Phoenix, or download the necessary documentation from the Ministry’s official website.
The Ministry confirmed that the scholarships are strictly reserved for those already registered in a recognised course of study who require additional support to complete their qualifications.
