Dawood Rawat Demands Probe of 2015 Bramer Bank License Revocation
The former Chairman Emeritus of the defunct BAI group, has formally called for an investigation into the revocation of Bramer Bank’s operating licence.
The prominent businessman visited the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) headquarters at Réduit Triangle today, Tuesday, November 4, accompanied by his lawyer, Me Shaan Kundomal.
His request specifically targets the decisions made by authorities in April 2015 that led to the bank’s operational permit being withdrawn.
Calls for Swift Action on Claims
Speaking to reporters upon leaving the FCC, Rawat also expressed frustration over the slow pace of investigations concerning complaints he lodged several months ago.
He urged the authorities to speed up procedures to enable former clients and investors of the BAI group to recover their funds.
