Two hospital administrators have reportedly been transferred to other institutions and will swap posts.

Effective from Friday, November 10, Vikram Gokhool, administrator of Brown Sequard Hospital, was transferred to Jawaharlal Nehru in Rose-Belle.

Karishma Devi Munboth, formerly posted at Jawaharlal Nehru, will now take her position at Brown Sequard Hospital.

There are reports of more transfers to come, as a thorough “cleaning exercise” is underway in healthcare institutions throughout the country.

It should be noted that an internal audit exercise conducted on catering services in Jeetoo Hospital, Subramania Bharati Eye Hospital, and Brown Sequard Hospital identified about 20 shortcomings.

The audit report was eventually used as the basis for Opposition leader Xavier-Luc Duval’s Private Notice Question addressed to Health Minister Kailesh Jagutpal last Tuesday.

The report also highlighted the poor overall hygiene, as well as the poor state of pillows, sheets, and curtains in some rooms.

The Health Ministry argued that this was a “routine transfer, like many others made throughout the year.”
