52 more people die due to COVID-19
52 more people have died of COVID-19 from December 16 to 28, 2021, amidst growing fears that the death toll could soar after new year celebrations.
As of December 29, the country had 477 active cases, out of whom, 14 people were admitted at the ENT Hospital.
About 950,000 people had received a first dose of vaccine in Mauritius, representing 75% of the population.
