The Senior Counsel and Senior Attorney Bill (No. XXIII of 2025) was passed by Parliament this Friday, October 10th, concluding its presentation and vote in the chamber.

Bill Follows Recent Appointments

The legislation, presented by Attorney General Gavin Glover, follows the recent appointment of 19 barristers as Senior Counsel and 12 solicitors as Senior Attorney.

The bill, therefore, formalises the framework for these senior legal designations.
