Unlicensed Nursing Homes Required to Register by September 2025
Nursing homes operating without proper permits, as well as those planning to establish hospices, are advised to formalize their status. They have until September 1, 2025, to do so.
After this deadline, the Ministry of Social Integration, Social Security, and National Solidarity will begin legal actions against facilities that continue to operate without authorization.
This was stated in a press release issued by the ministry on Monday, July 14.
The goal is to ensure that all nursing homes comply with legal and safety standards.
The ministry also reported that there are several suspected cases of unlicensed nursing homes currently in operation.
