Double Discovery in Britannia: 2 Bodies Found in a Sugarcane Field
On Friday, June 13, a grim discovery shook Britannia as a man and woman were found lifeless in a remote sugarcane field in Camp Payen.
The first body, identified as Lakshana Nowbuth, 29, from Trou-d’Eau-Douce, was in advanced decomposition. She had been reported missing to police on June 9, after disappearing on June 7.
A few meters away, the body of Akshay Cathan, also 29, from Chemin-Grenier, was found near a knife and a metal bar. His mother had reported his disappearance on June 10.
Police are investigating the case as a possible crime. An autopsy will be performed soon to determine the exact causes of death.
The ongoing investigation is led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Callychurn and Chief Inspector Nursimulu.
