ICTA Shuts down Social Media for 11 Days in Mauritius

The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) announced in a statement released on Friday, November 1, that it has received directives to request internet service providers to suspend access to social media platforms until November 11.

This decision is in response to what it describes as “illegal postings that pose a serious threat to national security and public safety.”
