Two Chinese Diplomats Attacked and Robbed on Signal Mountain
Two Chinese diplomats stationed at the Embassy in Mauritius were robbed and brutally assaulted during a stroll on Signal Mountain.
Armed with a stick, the attacker reportedly assaulted and threatened the diplomats, demanding they surrender their valuables.
Helpless and fearing for their lives, they reluctantly handed over a sum of Rs 10,000.
One of the diplomats was injured during the assault and had to seek urgent medical attention.
Police have reportedly launched an investigation.
