Move to overthrow the President of Black River District Council
A move is underway to overthrow the President of the Black River District Council.
According to Defi Media, the majority of councilors have reportedly swung into the opposition camp and an impeachment motion could be presented next week.
The current District Council President, Ludovic Laburée, is cited as being “willing” to vacate his seat if such a motion was passed.
Negotiations are said to be underway to find a replacement for Ludovic Laburée.
