MV Wakashio wreck: Negligence by the authorities?
Maritime expert Alan Stephen, a former Port Inspector at the Mauritius Ports Authority has told the Court of Investigation into the wreck of the MV Wakashio that “there might have been negligence by the authorities”, Defi Media reported.
He hinted that “wrong information were sent.”
Captain Yves Goilot of the Maritime Association claimed that “measures should have been taken before July 31” .
He claimed to have alerted the Director of Shipping, but the latter allegedly did not reply.
