Emirates to Launch New Premium Economy on 29 March for Mauritius Route
Emirates has announced the introduction of its Premium Economy cabin on the Mauritius–Dubai route starting 29 March 2026.
The new intermediate travel class, positioned between Economy and Business Class, will be available daily on flights EK709 and EK710.
The service will be operated by a retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft featuring the airline’s latest configurations.
With this addition, Mauritius joins a growing list of nearly 70 destinations across the Emirates network to offer this specific cabin grade.
Enhanced Cabin Comfort
Designed to offer increased space and accessibility compared to higher tiers, the Premium Economy seats provide:
- Dimensions: A width of 19.5 inches and a recline of up to 40 inches.
- Ergonomics: Six-way adjustable headrests, calf rests, and optimised lumbar support.
- Technology: Individual 13.3-inch screens and integrated charging ports.
- Aesthetics: Side tables finished in wood grain for a refined feel.
Premium Airport and Onboard Service
The experience begins on the ground with priority boarding and a dedicated check-in counter at Dubai International Airport.
Passengers will receive a comfort kit made from sustainable materials, alongside an eco-responsible blanket and a large-format pillow. Once on board, the service includes:
- Dining: Seasonal meals served on Royal Doulton porcelain with Robert Welch stainless steel cutlery.
- Beverages: A welcome drink in fine glassware and access to vintage wines from the Business Class selection, including the Chandon & Chandon Vintage Brut 2017.
