Opposition MPs from the Labour/MMM/PMSD boycotted the parliamentary session this Tuesday in protest against the Speaker and the majority’s conduct.

They demonstrated outside Parliament and did not attend the Assembly sittings.

They have sharply condemned what they label as an “undemocratic session,” expressing concerns over the limited opportunity for members of the opposition to speak during debates on the Financial Crimes Commission Bill and the Electoral Boundaries Commission.

For the debates on the Financial Crimes Commission Bill, which is expected to be adopted this Tuesday, no opposition speaker has been included in the program.

Similarly, in regards to the motion presented by the Prime Minister to fully approve the report of the Electoral Boundaries Commission, only government members are listed as speakers.
